John McCain
1. John McCain is against abortion except in cases of rape and incest.
2. John McCain believes we should be better funding educational programs and schools.
3. Supports the death penalty in federal cases.
4. He is proud of, and will continue to conserve the environment, including national parks and open spaces.
5. For healthcare, John McCain did not want to tax on premiums paid by families and individuals, employers for providing healthcare coverage, medical expenses such as the cost of a procedure or medication, and insurance claims.
6. John McCain's top immigration priority is to finish securing our borders in an efficient manner.
7. John McCain is strongly supportive of the war in Iraq and strongly opposed of pulling out the American troops.
8. John McCain has a plan to create millions of jobs for Americans. With his plan he hopes to ensure our nation’s energy security, get the government’s budget back in order, and bring relief to Americans.
9. John McCain believes that lower and middleclass Americans need more help. He also strongly supports the Regan tax plan.
10. Although strongly pro-life, John McCain believes we need to fund stem cell research.
Barack Obama
1. On an issue like partial birth abortion, Barack Obama strongly believes that the state could properly restrict late-term abortions. “We should have a provision to protect the health of the mother, and many of the bills that came before me didn't have that.”
2. Barack Obama will reform No Child Left Behind, invest in early childhood education, and make college affordable to all Americans.
3. Obama is pro-death penalty.
4. Obama worked to ensure our nation's environmental laws and policies. He will continue to push for sound environmental policies with his colleagues in the 110th Congress.
5. Obama wants the United States to have a Universal Healthcare policy.
6. Barack Obama wants to secure our borders, but at the same time increase the number of legal immigrants to keeps immigrant families together.
7. Barack Obama believes it’s not too late to end the war in Iraq. He is against the war.
8. Obama and Biden will eliminate all capital gains taxes on startup and small businesses to encourage innovation and job creation. Along with that they will create a “Make Work Pay” tax credit of up to $500 a person, or $1000 a person.
9. Obama and Biden are going to invest $1 billion towards helping low class citizens get out of poverty.

I think you got the main points, but you could've gone a bit more in-depth with things like the acts and policies which show the people what they are or aren't for. In some cases, like abortion, dealth penalty, the war, etc, there are many levels which need to be understood beyong "He's for so and so." Overall, I think you did well with getting the main point, though.
